Medicube is one of the fastest-growing Korean brands, and also one of the most confusing to shop. There are pads, peels, capsule creams, wrapping masks, "exosome shots", and several product lines with overlapping names. The good news: once you know what each line is for, choosing is simple.
| Line | Main concern | Start with |
|---|---|---|
| Zero Pore | Oil, blackheads, rough texture | Zero Pore Pad 2.0 |
| PDRN Pink | Dehydration, dullness, recovery | PDRN Pink Peptide Serum |
| Collagen | Firmness, bounce, overnight hydration | Collagen Jelly Cream |
| Brightening (glutathione, kojic, TXA) | Uneven tone, marks | Glutathione Glow Serum |
| Red | Active breakouts | Red Acne Succinic Acid Peel |
The Medicube Zero Pore Pad 2.0 is the product most people know. These are dual-textured toner pads soaked in exfoliating acids, salicylic acid (BHA) and AHA. BHA works inside the pore on oil and blackheads, while AHA smooths the surface.
How to use them: after cleansing, wipe the textured side over oily areas, then flip to the smooth side to pat in the rest. Start with every other evening. Daily use is too much for many people, especially in winter.
The Zero Pore Blackhead Mud Mask is a once- or twice-a-week extra for the nose and chin. The Zero Pore Moisture Sun Serum is a light sunscreen for oily skin, and you will need sunscreen every day if you use exfoliating pads.
PDRN is a regenerating ingredient that originally came from clinical use in wound healing, and it is now one of the biggest trends in Korean skincare. Medicube's PDRN Pink line is aimed at dull, dehydrated or stressed skin that needs to bounce back.
This line is a good counterbalance to Zero Pore: exfoliate with the pads a few nights a week, and use PDRN on the other nights.
A quick, honest note: collagen applied to the skin does not travel down and rebuild your own collagen. What collagen creams do well is hydrate and smooth the surface, so skin looks plumper and feels firmer. That is the job of the Collagen Jelly Cream and the Collagen Night Wrapping Mask, a peel-off overnight mask that people love for the "glass skin" morning look.
For actual collagen-building over time, retinoids have the strongest evidence. Medicube's Deep Vita A Retinol Serum is their option. Read our retinol guide before starting.
For uneven tone and post-acne marks, Medicube has a Glutathione Glow Serum, a Kojic Acid Turmeric Night Wrapping Mask, and the TXA + niacinamide range. These help fade marks gradually. None of them work if you skip sunscreen, because UV darkens marks faster than any serum can fade them. Our dark spots guide explains what to expect.
The Red Acne Succinic Acid Peel targets active spots and congestion. Do not use it on the same night as the Zero Pore pads. Two exfoliating products together is the most common way people irritate their skin with Medicube. For a full routine, see our acne-prone skin guide.
Oily, congested skin: cleanser β Zero Pore Pad (3β4 nights a week) β PDRN serum β light moisturiser. In the morning, Zero Pore Sun Serum.
Dry, dull skin: cleanser β PDRN toner β PDRN serum β Collagen Jelly Cream. Use the Night Wrapping Mask once or twice a week, and sunscreen every morning.
Marks and uneven tone: cleanser β glutathione or TXA serum β moisturiser β sunscreen. Add pads two nights a week to speed things up.
